WE WORK CLOSELY WITH FARESHARE
.1/3 of all waste produced in the UK is generated by the food sector - that’s 17 million tonnes of food waste.
1/4 of this food waste is still fit for consumption
The Food and Drinks Federation wants to prevent all food waste going into landfill by 2015, they are closely involved with FareShare too
Over 4 million people in the UK cannot afford a healthy diet
The food collected and redistributed by FareShare in 2007 contributed towards 4.6 million meals, reaching an average of 25,000 people each day
70% of recipient organisations made savings due to the food received from FareShare, and were able to redirect these savings to other support services
